The short version
Know.it is an educational tool. We collect the minimum needed to teach you and keep your lessons in sync. We don't sell your data, ever.
What we collect
- Your email — only if you sign in, to send the magic link and identify your account.
- Your questions & lessons — so you can revisit them and so we can improve teaching quality.
- A hashed IP — for anonymous users, to enforce the one-free-lesson limit. We store a one-way hash, not your raw IP.
- Credit balance & usage — to run the free/paid lesson system.
Who we share it with
To generate a lesson, your question is sent to the services that power Know.it:
- DeepSeek — writes the lesson plan.
- Google Cloud (Gemini TTS) — generates the narration voice; Google is also an optional sign-in provider.
- Supabase — authentication & database.
- Vercel — hosting.
The Public Library
Lessons are only published publicly when you choose to publish them, or when they pass an automated screen that removes anything containing personal information (emails, phone numbers, IDs). You can ask us to unpublish any lesson at any time.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Your choices
You can request a copy or deletion of your data, or unpublish a lesson, by emailing nyayadhishsumit2@gmail.com.
Children
Know.it is built for learners of all ages. If you are under 13 (or the age of digital consent in your country), please use it with a parent or guardian.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product grows. We'll change the date above when we do.
